A blissful Sunday evening of Yin Yoga...
The cooling and calming style of Yin Yoga is an amazing counter to the fierier Yang styles of practice such as flow, core or vinyasa Yoga- and the perfect relaxing Sunday evening practice!
Yin Yoga works on the bodies connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia), which respond best to a slow practice, and holding of asanas (postures) for longer.
During this 1.5-hour workshop you will find stillness and surrender both physically and mentally with the help of myself, and also learn how to best use props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets for extra comfort.
Yin postures are passive, and mainly floor based, working on parts of the body rich in connective tissues such as the hips, pelvis, inner thighs and lower spine. Asana will be held for up to five minutes.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of students: beginners, regular yoga practitioners, athletes of any kind, and anyone looking to take some time to slow down in their busy lives.
All ending in a blissful relaxation- please wear something both comfortable and warm (bring some warm socks)! Feel free to also bring any cushions, blankets, comforters & an eye pillow to get nice and cosy!
